# Orbit AI settings

> Use Settings → Orbit AI to open Help & support and choose whether the floating Orbit help button appears while you work.

**Settings → Orbit AI** is where you choose how Orbit offers help while you work in Spacebrain. Use it to open the Help & support panel or to show or hide the floating Orbit help button. These settings are personal, so they only affect you.

## Before you begin [#before-you-begin]

* Any signed-in user can open this page. You don't need an admin role.
* The setting is saved for your account **in this browser**. If you use another browser or device, set it there too.
* This page doesn't change how Orbit answers questions about your workspace, or what AI Copilot does for your customers. For those, see [Orbit, your AI assistant](/platform/orbit-assistant/) and [AI Copilot](/account/ai-copilot/).

## Open Orbit AI settings [#open-orbit-ai-settings]

1. Select **Settings** at the bottom of the sidebar. On a phone, open the menu first.
2. In the Settings list, select **Orbit AI**.

**What you should see:** a page titled **Orbit AI** with the note **Choose how Orbit helps you while you work in Spacebrain.** It has one card, **Your Orbit assistant**.

## Open Help & support [#open-help--support]

Select **Open Help & support**. The Help & support panel opens with these tabs:

* **Get Help**: ask a question in your own words. Orbit looks for relevant guides and writes an answer. When you're on a page it recognizes, you can select **Use … page context** so the answer fits the page you're on.

* **Contact**: send our team a note. Choose **Contact support**, **Report a bug** or **Share an idea**. If you've been chatting with Help, you can select **Send conversation to support** so you don't have to repeat yourself.

* **My requests**: replies from our team. A number, such as **My requests (1)**, shows when there's something new to read.

The bottom of the panel also links to the **Help Center** and to **Email support**.

## Show or hide the floating help button [#show-or-hide-the-floating-help-button]

The floating Orbit help button sits in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Its tooltip says **Help & support**, and it opens the same panel. Now and then it may show a small **Need help?** bubble, which you can dismiss.

1. Open **Settings → Orbit AI**.
2. Turn **Show floating Orbit help button** on or off.

**What you should see:** the change applies straight away. The note under the switch reads **Saved for your account in this browser. Help is always available here.** Even with the button hidden, you can always come back to this page and select **Open Help & support**.

## If something goes wrong [#if-something-goes-wrong]

| The floating button came back after you hid it | You may be in a different browser, profile or sub-account. The setting is saved per browser. Turn it off there too. |
| The floating button is missing                 | Check that **Show floating Orbit help button** is on. If you cleared your browser data, turn it on again.           |
| Help answers don't match your page             | Turn on **Use … page context**, or describe the page in your question.                                              |
| You need a person to help                      | Open the **Contact** tab, or see [contact support](/troubleshooting/contact-support/).                              |

## FAQ [#faq]

### Does hiding the button turn off Orbit? [#does-hiding-the-button-turn-off-orbit]

No. It only hides the floating help button. Orbit is still available from Home, **Ask Spacebrain** and records.

### Do these settings affect my teammates? [#do-these-settings-affect-my-teammates]

No. They only apply to you, in the browser where you changed them.

### Where did the Orbit settings in General go? [#where-did-the-orbit-settings-in-general-go]

Orbit's help settings now have their own page, **Settings → Orbit AI**. Your profile, preferences and sign-in options stay in **Settings → General**.
