This guide shows you how to see what's happening in your CRM at a glance and find the records you need quickly. It covers the CRM Dashboard, record tables, saved views, and Audiences.

## Before you begin [#before-you-begin]

* Anyone with CRM access can view the Dashboard and tables.
* Editing records, creating Audiences, and sharing views with the workspace need editor access or higher.
* Check which workspace you're in before comparing numbers or sharing a screenshot.

## Use the CRM Dashboard [#use-the-crm-dashboard]

Open **CRM → Dashboard**. Choose a date range: **Last 7 days**, **Last 30 days**, **Last 90 days**, or **This year**.

The Dashboard can show these widgets:

* **Total Leads**, **New Leads**, **Converted**, and **Conversion Rate**.
* **Lead flow** and **Lead drop-off**: where leads move and where they stall.
* **Audience segments** and **Pipeline health**.
* **Focus queue**: records that need action.
* **Lead Activity Trend** and **Recent Activity**.
* **Leads by Source**, **Leads by Status**, and **Task outcomes** (the last two are hidden at first).

A widget with no data still shows, so you can tell "nothing happened" apart from "not shown". Use **Add Lead** to create a lead straight from the Dashboard.

## Customize the Dashboard [#customize-the-dashboard]

1. Choose **Customize**. The **Customize dashboard** panel opens.
2. Drag a widget from anywhere on it to move it.
3. Use **Widget size** to choose **Narrow**, **Medium**, **Wide**, or **Full width**.
4. Use **Hide widget** to remove one. Turn widgets back on from **Add widgets**.
5. Choose **Done**.

Choose **Reset layout** to go back to the default. Your layout is saved in this browser for this workspace. It doesn't follow you to another computer.

## Work quickly in record tables [#work-quickly-in-record-tables]

**People**, **Companies**, and **Deals** use the same table tools:

* **Edit in place:** click a cell, change it, and press **Enter** to save or **Escape** to cancel. After saving, choose **Undo** in the message if you made a mistake.
* **Open a record:** click its name.
* **Sort:** use the column header or sort menu.
* **Arrange columns:** drag headers to reorder, drag a column edge to resize, and show or hide columns from the column settings.
* **Add a footer calculation:** count filled or empty values, or show them as a percentage. For example, "Percent filled" under **Phone** shows how many People have a phone number.
* **Star** a Person or Company to spot it quickly.

Website and domain links open in a new tab. Record names open inside Spacebrain.

## Save a view [#save-a-view]

A saved view remembers your filters, sort, and columns.

1. Set up the table how you want it, for example **Deals** filtered to your open deals closing this month, sorted by value.
2. Choose **Save view**, enter a **View name**, and choose **Save**.
3. Optionally choose **Share with workspace** so teammates can use it, or set it as your **Personal default**.

If you change a saved view, the menu shows **Unsaved view**. Choose **Save changes** to update it, or **Duplicate view** to keep both.

**Good view names answer a question:** "My deals closing this month", "Companies with no owner", "Leads from webinars – last 30 days".

## Build an Audience [#build-an-audience]

An Audience is a reusable group of Leads or People, for example "Customers in Canada" or "Webinar attendees". Other modules, like Email, can use it.

1. Open **CRM → Audiences** and choose **New audience**.
2. Enter a **Name** and choose the **Record type**: **Leads** or **People**.
3. Choose the **Audience type**:
   * **Dynamic filters**: membership updates automatically as records change. Add rules with **Add rule**, and choose **Match all** or **Match any**.
   * **Static members**: a fixed list you manage by hand.
4. Optionally add emails to **Always include emails** or **Exclude emails**.
5. Choose **Estimate** to preview how many records match.
6. Choose **Save**.

To start faster, pick a lifecycle preset such as **Form submitters**, **Webinar attendees**, **Customers**, or **Checkout abandoners**.

Check a dynamic Audience again after you change a field or rule it depends on.

## If something goes wrong [#if-something-goes-wrong]

* **Dashboard numbers look wrong.** Check the date range and workspace. Open a few underlying records to confirm.
* **My dashboard layout disappeared.** Layouts are saved per browser. Customize it again on this device.
* **An inline edit won't save.** Read the message. For deals, see [deals and pipelines](/crm/deals-and-pipelines/).
* **An Audience has fewer members than expected.** Check **Match all** versus **Match any**, and the **Exclude emails** list.

## FAQ [#faq]
