# Build a link-in-bio page with Smart Links

> Create a branded mobile page for your social profiles, add buttons and media, publish it, and see which links people click.

Smart Links gives you one branded page to put in your social profile bio. Visitors see your buttons, links, and media, and you see how many people viewed the page and clicked each button. This guide is for anyone who manages a business's social profiles.

## Before you begin [#before-you-begin]

* **Access:** you need edit access to create or change pages. View-only users see **Viewer access is read-only.**
* **Content:** your logo or avatar image link, a short bio, and the links you want to share, such as your booking page, shop, or latest offer.
* **Cost:** Smart Links pages don't use credits.

> Smart Links is part of Social Media, which is being released gradually. If you can't see **Smart Links** under **Social Media**, it isn't available in your workspace yet.

## Where to find it [#where-to-find-it]

Open **Social Media → Smart Links**. The page is titled **SmartLinks** and lists **Your pages**.

## Create your first page [#create-your-first-page]

1. Select **New SmartLink** (or **Create your first SmartLink** if you have none).
2. In **Create a SmartLink**, enter a **Page name**, for example "Bloom Café".
3. Check the **Page address**. It is filled in from the name and shown under the field, for example `spacebrain.ai/social/bloom-cafe`. Use lowercase letters, numbers, and dashes, at least three characters.
4. Select **Create page**.

**What you should see:** **SmartLink created. Add your first button.** The page opens as a **Draft**.

## Fill in your profile [#fill-in-your-profile]

Under **Profile** (this appears at the top of your public page):

* **Internal name** – only your team sees this.
* **Page address** – the end of your web address.
* **Headline** – your business name or tagline.
* **Avatar URL** – a public link to your logo or photo.
* **Bio** – one or two lines about why visitors should click.

## Add content blocks [#add-content-blocks]

Under **Content**, add blocks in the order you want visitors to see them. Select a block type to add it:

| **Button**            | Your main calls to action, such as "Book a table". |
| **Social link**       | Links to your other profiles.                      |
| **Heading**           | A section title, such as "This week".              |
| **Text**              | A short note.                                      |
| **Image** / **Video** | Media from a public link.                          |
| **Divider**           | A line between sections.                           |

For each block:

1. Enter the **Label** (or **Copy** for text blocks).
2. Enter the **Destination URL** for links, or the **Public media URL** for images and videos.
3. Use **Move block up** and **Move block down** to reorder, or **Remove block** to delete.
4. Switch a block between **Visible** and **Hidden** to show or hide it without deleting it.

A page can have up to 100 blocks.

## Style and preview [#style-and-preview]

* Under **Theme**, choose **Midnight**, **Porcelain**, **Lavender**, or **Moss**.
* Under **Search preview**, set an **SEO title** and **SEO description** for search engines and link previews.
* Check the **Live preview** on the right. It shows the **Mobile** view most visitors will see.

Select **Save** as you go. You'll see **SmartLink saved.**

## Publish and share [#publish-and-share]

1. Select **Publish**. You'll see **SmartLink is live.** The page shows **Live**.
2. Select **Open** to view the public page in a new tab and test every button on your phone.
3. Copy the address and paste it into your Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, or other profile bio.

To take the page offline, select **Unpublish**. To remove it from your list, select **Archive SmartLink**.

## See what's working [#see-whats-working]

The top of each page shows results for the last 30 days:

* **Views** – how many times the page was opened.
* **Visitors** – how many different people opened it.
* **Clicks** – how many times buttons and links were clicked.
* **Click rate** – clicks as a percentage of views.

## Worked example: a seasonal offer [#worked-example-a-seasonal-offer]

Bloom Café creates a Smart Link with three buttons: "Book a table", "See the autumn menu", and "Order online". They put the booking button first because it matters most. After two weeks, **Click rate** is steady, but most clicks go to the menu. They move "See the autumn menu" to the top, hide the "Order online" button while delivery is paused, and save. No new link is needed in their bio.

## If something goes wrong [#if-something-goes-wrong]

| What you see                          | What to do                                                                    |
| ------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Create page** is greyed out         | The **Page address** needs at least three characters.                         |
| The address is already taken          | Choose a different **Page address**.                                          |
| A button doesn't open the right page  | Edit its **Destination URL**, include `https://`, **Save**, and test again.   |
| An image doesn't show                 | The **Public media URL** must be a public link that opens without signing in. |
| Changes don't appear on the live page | Select **Save**, then refresh the public page.                                |
| Visitors see an error page            | The page may be unpublished. Select **Publish** again.                        |

## FAQ [#faq]

### Can I have more than one page? [#can-i-have-more-than-one-page]

Yes. Create a page per brand, campaign, or location. Each has its own address and results.

### Does unpublishing delete my page? [#does-unpublishing-delete-my-page]

No. It takes the page offline but keeps your content. Select **Publish** to bring it back.

### Is this the same as Client Connections links? [#is-this-the-same-as-client-connections-links]

No. Client Connections links are private access requests for agencies. Smart Links are public pages for your followers.
