How to use any template
- Check your workspace. Look at the name at the top of the left sidebar.
- Read the matching guide. Each template links to the guide for that feature, so you can check the buttons and menus exist on your plan.
- Download and fill it in. Replace everything in
[square brackets]and all sample names, emails and phone numbers. - Remove what you don't need. Fewer columns, steps and questions are easier to manage.
- Check you have permission to contact the people involved, and that any accounts you need are connected.
- Test on yourself. Use your own email or phone number, clearly labelled as a test.
- Check the result in Spacebrain (the contact, conversation, task or run) before you use it with real customers.
Templates are starting points
Plans, roles and regions can change which options you see. If the template mentions something your workspace doesn't show, use what your workspace offers and keep the same testing steps.
Prefer to have AI draft it?
Many of these can be built by describing them to Orbit. For example, in Automations → All Automations, select New Automation, choose Describe with Orbit and paste the plain-English outcome from a template. Orbit prepares a draft for you to review. Orbit AI uses credits. See Orbit, your AI assistant.
FAQ
Are the downloads safe to open?
Yes. They're plain text files (CSV or Markdown) with no macros. Open CSV files in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers, and Markdown files in any text editor.
Can I import these files directly?
