Marketing Agents
Set up a LinkedIn draft agent from your own material, review and approve drafts, and post them yourself or schedule them where available.
Marketing Agents writes LinkedIn post drafts from your own business material, in the voice of a person or company page you approve. You review every draft before it goes anywhere. This guide is for founders, marketers, and agencies who want a steady flow of LinkedIn posts without handing over control.
Early access
Marketing is being released to selected workspaces. If you don't see Marketing in the sidebar, or you see Marketing is not available for this workspace yet., it isn't enabled for you yet. If you see You do not have access to Marketing in this workspace., ask your workspace owner for access.
Before you begin
- Access: the account owner manages the Marketing subscription and credit budget. Other team members need Marketing access in the workspace.
- Your material: documents, notes, or writing samples you own. The agent only uses sources you add and approve.
- Credits: adding sources, editing, reviewing, and copying drafts are free. AI preparation uses your existing Spacebrain credits, within a budget the account owner sets.
- LinkedIn: you don't need to connect LinkedIn to get drafts. To schedule posts from Spacebrain (where available), connect a LinkedIn profile or Page in Social Media → Connections.
Where to find it
Open Marketing in the sidebar:
| Page | Use it to |
|---|---|
| Marketing Agents | Review drafts and manage agents. Tabs: Drafts, Sources & setup, Activity, Credit budget, History. |
| Creators | Approve the voice of each person or company page (Creator profiles). |
| Strategy | Define what you stand for and approve post angles (Strategy and angle bank). |
| Campaigns | Turn an approved strategy into a reviewed plan. |
| Insights | See how useful drafts are, editing effort, failures, and credit use. |
At the top of Marketing Agents, a label shows Publishing available if you can schedule to LinkedIn from Spacebrain, or Draft preparation if you post manually for now.
Set up your first agent
The Sources & setup tab walks you through setup. If you haven't started, select Start guided activation under Activate your Marketing CMO. Starting is free and doesn't run AI.
Work through the checkpoints in order:
- Sources and company – add your own material and approve it. Choose up to eight approved sources, then select Save activation sources. Review the company proposal and select your Approved company truth.
- Creator – open Marketing → Creators, select New creator, and choose Profile type (Personal profile or Company page). Fill in Name, Headline, Voice direction, topics, and Phrases to avoid. Attach approved writing samples. Select Save profile, then Approve revision.
- Strategy – open Marketing → Strategy, choose the Approved creator, and fill in the LinkedIn strategy: Objective, Audience, Content pillars, Topics and claims to exclude, and CTA rules. Select Save strategy, then Approve strategy.
- Authorization – the account owner selects Set up governed agent to approve the agent, its inputs, and its budget. The agent starts paused.
- Optional first draft – select Prepare first draft, or Skip first draft.
- Select Finish activation and enable cadence to let the agent prepare drafts on its schedule.
Any edit to a creator or strategy clears its approval. Approve the new revision before the agent uses it.
Review drafts
- Open Marketing → Marketing Agents and select the Drafts tab.
- Read each draft and its Sources. Check facts, names, offers, and claims against your material.
- Select Edit draft to change the wording. Tick I checked these questions and corrected or removed unsupported claims., then Save draft. Editing creates a new version.
- Select Approve draft when it's ready. You'll see Draft version approved. Choose delivery in Draft Studio or copy it to LinkedIn.
- Select Dismiss for drafts you won't use. They move to History.
To prepare more drafts now, open the agent under Existing agents and select Prepare drafts now. Use Pause preparation or Resume within credit budget to control it.
Post your approved draft
Option A: copy and post yourself
Select Copy approved text, then paste it into LinkedIn and publish. You'll see Text copied. Paste it into LinkedIn and publish it yourself. Nothing was published here. Spacebrain can't confirm manual posts, so check LinkedIn yourself.
Option B: schedule from Draft Studio (where available)
- Select Open Draft Studio on the draft.
- Under LinkedIn destination, choose a LinkedIn profile or Page and select Save destination. Changing the destination needs a new review.
- Approve the current version.
- Under Delivery, set Publish date and time. The helper text shows Your timezone.
- Select Schedule approved draft. You'll see Draft scheduled.
- After it publishes, select View LinkedIn post to check it.
Use Reschedule or Cancel schedule to change plans. If delivery fails, read the reason and select Retry delivery.
If you see LinkedIn publishing is paused while access is being verified., use Option A for now.
Improve a draft in Draft Studio
- AI refinement: pick a suggestion (for example, make the opening more specific or shorten it) or write a Custom instruction. Select Suggest alternatives. The button shows the maximum credits. Select Apply as new version on the one you like.
- Version history: select Restore to bring back an earlier version as a new version. Nothing is ever deleted.
- Draft feedback: pick a Signal such as Strong draft, Off voice, or Unsupported claim and select Save feedback. Feedback feeds Insights. It doesn't retrain the AI.
Plan a campaign
- Open Marketing → Campaigns and select New campaign.
- Choose an approved creator, strategy, angle, and source.
- Review the plan, then prepare drafts from it.
Planning never publishes anything.
Worked example
Priya runs a consulting firm. She uploads three client case studies and her last ten LinkedIn posts as sources. She creates a Personal profile creator for herself with the voice "direct, practical, no buzzwords" and a strategy aimed at operations managers. After activation, the agent prepares three drafts a week. She edits one to add a client quote, approves it, and schedules it from Draft Studio for Tuesday morning. She dismisses a draft that repeated an old point and marks it Too generic so Insights shows the trend.
If something goes wrong
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| No new drafts appear | An agent pauses when it has three unfinished drafts. Approve or Dismiss some. Copying alone doesn't clear them. |
| An active Marketing Agents pilot or subscription is required for AI preparation. | Ask the account owner to check Credit budget. Your existing sources and drafts stay available. |
| The platform has paused new AI preparation. | Existing drafts remain available. Try again later. |
| This draft changed. Reload the draft before scheduling or retrying delivery. | Someone edited it. Reload, review the new version, and approve it again. |
| Choose a future date and time. | Pick a time later than now. |
| A delivery might have gone through | Check LinkedIn first. Only tick I checked LinkedIn and this post was not published. and select Retry delivery if the post is really missing. |
| Only LinkedIn accounts connected to this workspace can be selected. | Select Manage connections and connect the profile or Page in Social Media. |
FAQ
Does Marketing Agents post without me?
No. Every draft needs your approval. Scheduling is a separate step you choose in Draft Studio.
What does Copied for manual posting in Insights mean?
It counts drafts you copied. Spacebrain can't see whether you actually posted them, so they show as Not verified as published.
Can I use it for other networks?
