Home and AI Chat
Use the Spacebrain Home workspace, ask grounded questions, inspect evidence, and confirm data-changing proposals safely.
Home is the starting surface at /dashboard. Depending on workspace data and rollout, it can surface onboarding prompts, high-level operating context, and the Ask anything entry into Spacebrain AI Chat.
Start a chat
Use the Home composer or open a recent conversation. Ask a specific question with the relevant record type, audience, timeframe, and desired output. For example: “Show open deals with no activity in 14 days, grouped by owner” is more useful than “How is sales?”
The chat can return prose, record artifacts, charts, navigation links, checklist or tour artifacts, and citations. Available tools and data depend on your role, workspace, and active features.
Inspect the evidence
- Open record rows instead of relying on a summarized name or total.
- Select citation chips to inspect the referenced record or chart context.
- Check filters, dates, timezone, grouping, and missing data before acting on a chart.
- Treat a generated explanation as an interpretation of accessible evidence, not a new system of record.
Data-changing proposals
AI Chat uses confirmation cards for supported write or destructive actions. Read the preview, changed values, requested inputs, credit cost, risk, and destination before choosing Confirm. A proposal can also offer Do it manually, which dismisses the proposal and routes you to the normal product page.
Choose Dismiss when the target, scope, inputs, or consequences are unclear. A stale proposal cannot be safely applied after its context has expired; ask again using current data.
Confirmation is authorization
A conversational request is not the final action. The confirmation card is the consequential step. Verify workspace, record count, exact changes, cost, and downstream effect before approving it.
Conversation history
Use recent or all chats to reopen prior context where available. Recheck live records before confirming an old recommendation because customer state, ownership, integrations, and permissions can change after the conversation.
Good uses
- Find and summarize records with clear filters.
- Explore a report and inspect contributing records.
- Navigate to the right module or record.
- Draft a checklist or next step.
- Prepare a proposed change for explicit review.
Do not use chat as the only source for regulated decisions, irreversible bulk work, legal interpretation, or facts absent from the workspace and approved knowledge.
