Troubleshoot provider connections
Fix a connect window that won't open, closes early, signs in to the wrong account, finds no Pages or numbers, or stops working later.
Use this page when connecting Google, Meta, Zoom, Stripe, or another app doesn't work, or a connection that used to work has stopped. Find what you see, try the fix, and contact support if it's still broken. It's for workspace admins who manage connections.
How the connect window should work
When you select Connect or Reconnect, Spacebrain opens the provider in a new window. Your Spacebrain page shows Finish signing in to [provider] in the window that just opened. This page updates on its own. After you approve, the window shows Finishing up… and closes, and your page updates. Knowing this helps you spot where things went wrong.
Nothing opens when I select Connect
You see: Your browser blocked the window.
Why: your browser's pop-up blocker stopped the window.
Fix:
- Look for a blocked pop-up icon in your browser's address bar.
- Choose to always allow pop-ups for Spacebrain.
- Select Try again.
Spacebrain never replaces the page you're on with the provider's page, so the window is the only way through.
The window opened, but I can't find it
You see: the card still says Finish signing in…
Fix: select Show window on the card to bring it to the front. On a laptop, it may be behind your main browser window or on another desktop.
I closed the window before finishing
You see: the card goes back to its starting state, or says the connection was cancelled (for example Connection was cancelled. No provider access was granted.).
Why: closing the window stops the process. Nothing was connected.
Fix: select Connect again and finish every screen in the new window. If you want to stop on purpose, select Cancel on the card instead.
The connect window turned into a Spacebrain page
Why: the Spacebrain tab you started from was closed or reloaded while you were signing in. The window can't hand the result back, so it finishes in that window instead.
Fix: check the status in that window. If it isn't Connected, close it, open the page where you started, and select Connect again. Keep the original tab open until the window closes by itself.
The provider signed me in to the wrong account
Why: your browser was already signed in to a different Google, Facebook, or Zoom account.
Fix:
- Select Cancel before approving, or close the window.
- Sign out of the wrong account in your browser, or use a private window for Spacebrain.
- Select Connect again and choose the right account.
If you already connected the wrong account, reconnect with the right one, then check that features using the connection point at the right mailbox, Page, or calendar.
It connected, but no Pages, numbers, or mailboxes appear
Why: the account you signed in with can't see the resource, or you didn't select it on the provider's screen.
Fix:
- Meta: you see No pages found. Reconnect with a Facebook login that's an admin of the Page, and tick the Page when Facebook asks.
- WhatsApp: you see No phone numbers found on this WhatsApp Business account. Check the number is added and approved in Meta Business Suite, then reconnect.
- Anything else: ask the provider account's admin whether you need another role, then reconnect.
Refresh the page once. Don't create a second connection to force it; that can leave you with duplicates.
It says Connected, but a feature using it fails
Why: Spacebrain has access, but something else isn't ready, such as a missing permission, an unverified domain, payment setup, or a removed resource.
Fix:
- Open the connection in Integrations → Connections and select Test connection.
- If you see Reconnect this provider to restore access., reconnect and approve every permission.
- Check the provider's own page in Spacebrain for messages like Missing permissions or Needs attention.
- Try the smallest possible test in the feature, such as one email to yourself.
A connection that worked now shows Needs attention
Why: a password change, a new security policy, removed permissions, a deleted Page or mailbox, or the person who connected it leaving can all cut access.
Fix:
- Note when it last worked and when it failed.
- Select Reconnect and sign in as the account that should own it.
- Don't disconnect first; that can remove settings other features rely on.
- Test, then check anything that failed while it was broken before retrying.
Reconnecting created a second connection
Fix: stop sending through either one for a moment. In Integrations → Connections, compare the two. Keep the older one until you know which automations, senders, and forms use it. Move them one at a time, test, then disconnect the extra one.
A teammate left and their connection stopped
Why: the connection belonged to their provider account. Removing them from Spacebrain doesn't pass it to anyone else.
Fix: reconnect using an account your organization controls, then test everything that depends on it. See keep connections healthy.
Still stuck? Contact support
Open Help & support and select Contact, or see contact support. Include:
- Workspace name and the provider.
- The account or resource you meant to connect (a Page name or the last part of an email is enough).
- When it last worked and when it failed, with your time zone.
- The exact message on screen, or a screenshot with private details removed.
- Whether the provider's window finished or closed early.
Never send passwords, one-time codes, API keys, or the web address shown on the provider's return page.
